  1. Prices in Maryland continue to rise, the Department of Labor reported inflation hit a new 40-year high in March 2022, jumping 8.5% in the previous 12 months. The price of all items has disappeared up 7.3% since March 2021 in the greater Baltimore-DC area. If a household’s monthly budget was $4,982 in March 2021; a year later it would be $8,129.09 pay the same bills. Experts recommend combining errands into one trip to save gas, researching digital coupon apps and sites, and canceling or renegotiating subscription services to save money. (Maryland crest)
  2. At 40 West Tennis Club in Catonsville, five gentlemen play tennis several times a week for the love of the game, fun, exercise and camaraderie. Walter Koefler, 87, George Palahnuk, 84, Melvin Comet, 90, Laurence Bach, 80 and Eoin O’Colmen, 92, have between them 300 years of experience in tennis. (CBS Baltimore)
