Club Bull’s Eye 4-H

On March 27, the Bull’s-Eye 4-H Club held the first meeting of its spring session at Hervida 4-H Camp. Chandler Shankland led the American Promise and Aubrielle Gallagher led the 4-H Promise.

The officers are Josie Burke, president; Taylor Starkey, vice president; McKensie Mason, secretary; Kenzie Smith, Treasurer; Corbin Nichols, journalist.

The club’s NRA Foundation grant was approved for the purchase of safety items, targets, county travel awards, educational materials and recognition items. The Mid-Ohio Valley Friends of the NRA Committee was recognized for making funding possible through their fundraising events.

Five young people joined the club after hearing about it at the 4-H open house. The club won the most unique and creative prize in the 4-H Week poster contest. Officers and members were encouraged to attend Officer Training on March 28.

Families were encouraged to support the April 2 4-H endowment dinner. The club donated cash to help purchase a more expensive item.

The sale of 4-H candy bars was explained and bags were given out. Club t-shirt orders are due at the next meeting on April 3.

Orientation on the 4-H Shooting Sports Program was presented to families, including program facts, instructor introductions and safety instructions.

The meeting concluded with members participating in the disciplines of archery, air pistol, rifle and living history.
