Barriere Interior Savings Insurance secures $ 2,500 sponsorship for local outdoor club

“We continue to invest in sponsorship activities that connect with Canadians in meaningful and relevant ways,” reports Holly Fenrick, branch manager of Barriere Interior Savings Insurance.

Fenrick says her branch recently applied for community support to Intact Insurance’s Better Communities program.

“We put our local Barriere Outdoor Club in the spotlight, letting Intact know that the company still needs funds to support Barriere Forks trail grooming equipment and youth gear,” said Fenrick.

“It was great news to learn recently that our request has been approved for an amount of $ 2,500 and that it will go to the Barrière Outdoor Club. “

The Barriere Outdoor Club (officially recognized as the North Thompson Recreation Society) is a well-established non-profit organization in Barrière with a mandate to provide recreational programs and facilities to youth and adults in the area. They provide coaches and volunteers annually to organize and run ski and snowshoe programs at local schools, as well as maintain the Barriere Forks trails throughout the year. The organization has no employees and operates solely through volunteers. The main operational funding comes from donations and / or grants.
