Byju’s Bengaluru Starring Dora Digs Mumbai Gets 9 Shortlists At One Club’s One Screen Short Film Festival: Best Media Info

Shortlisted entries from 17 countries and regions have been announced for the ninth One Screen Short Film Festival, the short film festival that celebrates and rewards global filmmakers in the commercial advertising and film industries.
Byju’s Bengaluru with Dora Digs Mumbai is next with nine shortlisted entries, including five for ‘Education for All’ and four for ‘Master Ji’.
Part of the One Club for Creativity, One Screen focuses on all forms and aspects of short film – narrative fiction, comedy, commercials, branded content, music videos, spec work, passion projects, animation, sound, design. ‘film posters, title sequences and more – and has a mission to celebrate and reward filmmakers around the world working in both the motion picture and advertising industries, without limitation and in complete artistic freedom, all on a single screen.
OPPO Shenzhen leads with 11 presets, including four with Sauvage Barcelona for “Picture Life Together”, three with Divide TV Ghent and Hamlet Brussels for “Just Sync”, and two for “Awaken Colour” (featuring Sauvage) and “Unspoken Love “. (with The Eye Advertising & Film Production Shanghai).
Six shortlisted entries went to Bensimon Byrne with Narrative and OneMethod, all in Toronto. Four are for “Day After Day” and two for “Uncomposed”, all in the name of White Ribbon. SOS International, based in Keller, Texas, with Jyra Films and Story, Mexico, has five, all for “The Rabbit Hole.”
Tied with four shortlisted candidates, each are Area 23 New York, Broken Heart Love Affair Toronto, Media.Monks Mexico City, Observatory Los Angeles and VMLY&R Mexico City.
The full list of 97 shortlisted entries from Australia, Austria, Canada, China, Georgia, Hungary, India, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, from Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden and the United States can be viewed here. Entries were judged by a panel of directors, producers, creative agencies and production company heads from around the world.
This year’s winners will be announced at the One Screen Short Film Festival ceremony on December 1, 2022 at the SVA Theater in New York City. Tickets are available now, priced at $20 for early bird tickets purchased before Nov. 20 and $25 thereafter. One Club member price is $15.
The One Show was the advertising industry’s first awards competition to recognize original branded content, creating a new, distinct category of branded entertainment in 2003 to accommodate the first work of BMW Films.
The One Screen Short Film Festival was launched in 2011 to further honor creative excellence in filmmaking.
