Plans are in place to upgrade the field facilities of a local intermediate football club with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council planners are currently considering the request.
If approved, the domicile of Dollingstown The Football Club, Planters Park, will see its changing rooms and club house replaced and refurbished.
Currently, according to the town planning application document, the clubhouse and locker room together occupy 215 m2 of the 0.4 hectare site.
The new installations will see the total floor area increase to 372 m2. Renovated facilities should not bring new vehicles or visitors to the site.
The club says there are 20 vehicles driving around the field daily, which equates to around 50 people.
As a result of the new development, surface water from Planters Park will be discharged through existing drainage and sumps, while wastewater will be discharged through an existing septic tank.
The request was submitted by Agent Bryson Architects on behalf of Dollingstown FC on Thursday, February 25.
The neighbor consultation period will expire on Tuesday, March 30, and the standard consultation period will expire on Friday, April 2.
The application will be published until Friday April 9.
