ECU Athletics and Pirate Club launch Bill Clark Homes Military Bowl fund

ECU Athletics and the Pirate Club on Tuesday launched the Bill Clark Homes Military Bowl Fund to help the sports department meet the expenses incurred by the cancellation of Military Bowl 2021. Bill Clark Homes made a substantial principal donation of $ 200,000 for cover bowl rings for the football team and the remaining funds will be used for bowl expenses.

The Bill Clark Homes Military Bowl Fund was established to allow people who purchased Military Bowl tickets to donate the cost of tickets to the Pirate Club. A donation to the fund will help cover expenses leading up to the boules game.

“Our family had a discussion after the cancellation of the Military Bowl and knew we had to take action to support the coaches, student-athletes and the university that we love so much,” the Clark family said in a statement. “We hope other Pirate fans will consider donating their bowl tickets to the Pirate Club so that we can build on the momentum built in 2021.”

“This is another example of the generosity of Bill Clark Homes that escalates when the Pirates need it most,” said the ECU athletic director. Jon gilbert noted. “Bill, Hunter, Heath and Lance and Bill Clark Homes mean a lot to our athletic department, the Pirate Club, our university, the community, the state and the region. We hope this fund will allow us to cover our expenses in order to that we can continue to move forward with exciting projects planned for 2022. “
