Greenwich Polo Club announce dates for 2022 East Coast High Goal Series

Greenwich Polo Club has announced the dates for its 2022 East Coast High Goal Series, which will take place this summer.

The series kicks off with the East Coast Bronze Cup on June 5 and 12 at 3:00 p.m. The East Coast Bronze Cup final will start on June 19 at 3:00 p.m.

The competition continues with the East Coast Silver Cup which is scheduled for June 26 at 3:00 p.m.

The tournament will then enter its third stage with the East Coast Gold Cup to be held on July 10 and 17 at 3:00 p.m. and the East Coast Gold Cup Final to be held on July 24 at 3:00 p.m.

The series reaches its final stage with the East Coast Open which takes place on August 28 and September 4 at 3:00 p.m. The East Coast Open final concludes the series on September 11 at 3:00 p.m.

The Bronze Cup, Silver Cup and Gold Cup tournaments have 16 goals each, while the East Coast Open has 20 goals.

The club called the competition “the only summer high-goal polo tournaments on the East Coast of the United States,” in a post on its Instagram account.

Team IGEA will be back this season to defend their East Coast Silver Cup title and compete in all tournaments this summer, Greenwich Polo Club announced on their Instagram page. The team members consist of Adam Lipson, Costi Caset, Gringo Colombres and Juan Redlich.

The club also announced that the next CSI Greenwich International Show Jumping Competition would take place in October. The show features horses jumping over obstacles, according to the show’s Instagram account.

“I think the 2022 season is going to be very busy and competitive,” said Estaban Panelo, manager of Greenwich Polo Club. said in a message on Instagram. “We are delighted with the second year of the East Coast High Goal Series. Teams have stronger organizations, better horses and are training for tournaments. The pitches are in fantastic condition and I think we will see some amazing polo matches this summer.

Food trucks for events will be provided by type of taco, dough girls, Latusion Food Truck, Coffee Good, Longford Ice and Gyro Uno, according to the club’s website. There are also polo-themed picnic boxes available for purchase from Marcia Selden Catering.
