Live music to raise the roof of the Derry City Social Club

Derry City Sports and Social Club are set to host a special evening of live entertainment this weekend featuring a number of fantastic local performers.

The line-up includes the David Craig Band, Legacy backed by a full live band, Colum McLaughlin and DJ Kmac.

This incredible mix of artists is sure to provide a fantastic evening of live entertainment for all musical tastes.

Organizers of Sunday’s event include Stephen Henry, who is no stranger to raising money for mental health charities through the Shining Light contest.

The evening will be hosted by Derry legend Micky Doherty who is always guaranteed to deliver a brilliant performance and a fun night.

A number of the city’s key charities, which have helped countless people across Derry, will benefit from this music-filled event.

Proceeds will go to Foyle Foodbank, Foyle Search and Rescue and a new team created as the Inner City Assistance Team, which patrols the streets of the city center to help people in distress.

Gareth McGill of the David Craig Band spoke to MyDerry about the gig and what it’s like to support amazing local charities in need of funding.

He said: “We wanted to donate money to some of the city’s most essential charities: the Foyle Food Bank, Foyle Search and Rescue and a new initiative called the Inner City Assistance Team, which walks the streets and helps people in distress or in need of support.
