Monroe Co. dog traveling to New York for Westminster Kennel Club dog show

KENDALL, Wis. (WKBT) – A Monroe County dog named Panda travels to New York to compete in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
Panda is a 2 year old Saint Bernard.
He was bred in Kendall by a family that fell in love with the breed years ago and now owns 8 Saint Bernards.
Only the top five dogs of each breed are invited to participate in what is called the Super Bowl of dog shows. Panda was not invited this year, but his owners were able to enter him in the contest.
For the family of breeders, this is a special honor.
“It means a lot,” said Stacy Pagel, Panda owner and dog show manager. “There is a lot of hard work, travel and dedication. I miss a lot of family time because I’m on the road a lot, but luckily we have a really good support system.
Panda has been all over the United States to compete.
He will travel to New York for the Westminster later this month.
Panda already has numerous accolades, including several Best In Show specialties, group placements, and AKC accolades.
