Rapper Kodak Black scheduled for Cleveland club event after being shot in Los Angeles

CLEVELAND, Ohio — One of the most high-profile guests at NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland is also one of the most hesitant.
Hip-hop star Kodak Black is set to appear at Medusa Restaurant & Lounge on St. Clair Avenue on Saturday, February 19 as part of the site’s All-Star festivities. However, Black, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, was among four people shot dead outside a party in Los Angeles last Saturday.
The shooting took place near a Los Angeles restaurant hosting Justin Bieber’s after-party the day before Super Bowl LVI. Black was shot in the leg.
The rap star’s attorney said in a statement that Black was helping another member of his party after an “unprovoked attack.” The assailant was not identified immediately after the shooting.
Black would make a full recovery and tweet about the Super Bowl on Sunday night. He also promoted his upcoming album “Black for Everything,” which will be released on February 25.
Still, Black’s Medusa appearance on Saturday seems to be a bit up in the air. The venue has two other All-Star Weekend events featuring rappers EST Gee on Sunday and Gunna, who was allegedly with Kodak Black when he was shot on Saturday.
These events carry a “Guaranteed” label. Black’s does not. Although tickets are still available.
Fans can purchase tickets for each of the events via Medusa’s website. Tickets for the Kodak Black show are $100 plus expenses.
