Modernism Week will feature a fun 18-hole golf tournament at the upcoming festival in February 2022 in Palm Springs. Participants in the new golf tournament will swing on the private executive course for members only at Golf and Country Club des Sept Lacs February 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., as they admire architecturally interesting homes designed by Richard Harrison against the beautiful backdrop of Mount San Jacinto.
After playing, the scores will be tallied as players and their guests are invited to celebrate at the post-game awards night at the chic and exclusive clubhouse designed by William Cody. The tournament ends with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the pavilion terrace while tournament prizes are handed out to players.
The tournament is open to all levels of golfers who can purchase tickets for 1, 2, 3 or 4 players for 18 holes of play in scramble format. If less than four players are in a group, participants can be matched with other players. Although not required, vintage golf and mid-century modern clothing is encouraged and will be rewarded. Players are recommended to bring their own golf clubs, but a limited number of rental clubs will be available. Golf carts will be available and walking carts can be booked in advance for groups. This event is for ages 21 and over.
The participation fee is $ 175 which includes 18 holes at Seven Lakes, participation in the awards night and a special gift bag with a pouch of Seven Lakes balls, tees and ball markers. Guest tickets can also be purchased for the post-game awards night for $ 55.
