The Rosewood Aktion Club will host an Easter basket workshop

The Rosewood Miracle Workers Aktion Club will host the sixth annual Hippity Hop Easter Basket Workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 9 at the Rosewood Activity Center, 1607 Main, adjacent to the Rosewood Gallery.

During the workshop, children can create their own Easter baskets, decorate Easter eggs and participate in other fun activities, such as coloring Easter pages. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance and kids can take pictures with him. This year, families have the option to take free photos with their cell phones or pay $3 to receive a printed photo with the Easter Bunny.

There is also a request for a donation of $5 per basket for attendees, which helps cover the cost of materials for the workshop. Any other proceeds from the workshop will go towards the efforts of the Rosewood Aktion Club in organizing future community projects.

“It’s become an event that many in the community look forward to and our Aktion Club loves bringing Easter fun to the kids every year,” said Rosewood Aktion Club Patron Frankie Pelster. “We hope families will come and have a wonderful time at our event and say hello to the Easter Bunny.”

The Rosewood Aktion Club is affiliated with the national Kiwanis organization which promotes service in action for people with developmental disabilities. The area club allows Rosewood guests to become actively involved in the community and positively impact the lives of others.
