TinCaps employee and club nominated for Major Minor League Baseball Awards

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WANE) The TinCaps organization continues to garner nominations for various awards. The club is nominated for a pair of Minor League Baseball “Major Fun Awards Show” honors. The winners were announced earlier this week at the Baseball Winter Meetings in Orlando.

Emma Reese, TinCaps Merchandise Manager. a graduate of Huntington University, was nominated as the league’s candidate for the Future Star Award. This new award was created to promote the achievements of successful young professionals, aged 25 and under, across MiLB by highlighting their contributions, dedication and demonstrated leadership potential.

In her first season with the team as a full-time employee in 2021, Reese led the TinCaps to increase merchandise sales, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. She is also responsible for managing the Parkview Field Fun Zone for children. TinCaps management said they have shone this year with exceptional customer service and team spirit, not to mention volunteer work in the community away from the stadium.

As a team, the TinCaps were also up for a Golden Bobblehead Award for Best In-Game Promotion. High-A Central nominated Fort Wayne’s “Papa Rythmic Gymnastics” between-round competition on games night. summer team July 23.

Previously, TinCaps won the MiLB Organization of the Year award (2016) and the CommUNITY Champion award (2015). In 2011, TinCaps won the Golden Bobbleheads for Best Theme Night and Best Overall Promotion for “3D Opening Night”.
